So, be honest ... do you guys want a BVC gallery for FanArt?

When I first set up the website for Broken Voice Comics, I deliberately chose not to include a FanArt gallery. I wasn't being mean (honest!) I just reasoned that - since all our titles and characters were new - it would take a while for people to get to know them.

Well, we're fast approaching our first anniversary now and, over the past year, we've introduced a number of characters you might want to try your hand at drawing. Hell, I know some of you out there are great artists and you might even feel like redesigning the characters completely!

Just to jog your memory, here are some of the characters whose exploits you've been enjoying:

Hunted
Leni

The Spires
Lady Jeste
Captain Boone
Governor Arkan
Kolm

Shades
Spitfire (Doug)
Boo
The Shaman
Starflare and Starflower
Stan
Sunil

Guest titles
Erin (Perfect Storm)
Isaac Ephemer (Immortality)
QN (Immortality)
Kurt and Diana (The Long Vigil)
The lads (The Lumbering Dead)

I'm easy either way. If some of you artistic types want to try your hand at drawing these characters, let me know and I promise I'll provide a space for them at the BVC website.

Let me know what you think, either by leaving a reply here in the Forum or, if you don't want your thoughts made public, by sending me an email. If you already have something drawn and you want to send it to me, you can use the same address.

No pressure - it's up to you!

When I posted the above thread way back in February, it seemed that none of you you clever arty types were interested in trying your hand at making fan art for the characters in our comics at BVC. At least not back then!

But things change and now, the talented JustNoPoint has drawn Stan (from Shades) in a cameo role as a waiter in the webcomic Off Hours. Okay, so one picture doesn't exactly constitute a gallery but, hey - he's in another comic! That's like ... super-fanart!

Use that link to go straight to the full comic or click here for the fan art first. Then, if you find that's tempted you to try your hand after all, feel free to show me what you can do!

This may seem a little ironic, given that we've just had to put Shades on hiatus, but we've just received a lovely piece of fan-art that you really need to see!

The very cool patoborracho has drawn our very own First Century warrior queen, Boo, her leather skirts swirling and looking very seductive!

Pato runs his own comic called Maya: The Legend of Wolf which you should definitely check out. Before you go rushing off, though, click here for the fan art. Oh, and if you find that's tempted you to try your own hand at any of the characters in Shades, please do send your drawings to us by email!

More fan art! And, since fans of Shades are an especially creative bunch, this is fan art with a difference!

Like many of you, Lemniskate has been wondering what sort of costumes Stan might eventually make for Ryan and Becky but - not content to sit back and wait - he's come up with a couple of design suggestions himself!

Lem runs a number of webcomics, including Beneficially Challenged which takes a look at the relationships between super heroes and their powers. Before you go rushing off to see it, though, click here for the fan art.

Oh, and if that's made you feel like designing new costumes for any of the characters in Shades, please do send us your designs ... we know Stan would love to see them!
